The Healing Power Of Art

Tabatha discovered her gift when after years of working in the retail industry she became chronically ill. Her chronic illness escalated in large part to her long-fought battle with Type 1 Diabetes. This disease unleashed destruction on her body resulting in kidney failure forcing her to undergo dialysis and an eventual kidney and pancreas transplant. During her long recovery unable to return to her traditional role in retail she sought solace in art. A family friend whom became her mentor, an accomplished artist in her own right, encouraged her to paint. Tabatha delved into painting and discovered not only did painting facilitate her healing journey, but she actually had a natural gift.
The past several years Tabatha has honed her craft and shares it with others. Her love of bright colors is exhibited in her work by focusing on abstracts and modern impressionism in acrylic and oil medium. Tabatha's soul- filled pieces captures her passion for life and her love for humanity. She continues to share her work and donates pieces to several charities in an effort to give back to the community that still supports her through her transplant and artistic journey.
Tabatha currently resides in Fayetteville Georgia with her loving husband and two beautiful dogs. She continues to evolve and expand her skills as each brush stroke heals her body mind and spirit.
